SUPball on the Thames

At Green Lily Events, lots of our corporate clients come to us looking to host a team building day that boasts lots of unique and memorable features that their team members will be sure to remember forever.

And a day that will put their right foot forward in building a legacy. That legacy can be an internal culture change from a day bonding on the Thames.

Introducing SUPball.

Earlier in the year, I took a trip down under, to Australia, spending lots of time hanging out in an area that they call 'The Office' on Manly, Sydney beach. It really is just an area of grass that gets swarmed by WFH staff from about 2pm with their laptops. During this experience, I was able to bare witness to the most hilarious sport, SUPball.

I couldn't put the idea down as I thought it was just amazing, so when I got back to the UK I made a few calls to a few paddleboard companies and nobody seemed to offer it. So I made a proposal to a Paddleboard shop in Shepperton, Surrey. And together we created the activity to give corporate clients a completely unique activity, that they can't find anywhere else.

Since we created the activity, it has been going down an absolute storm! Especially for corporate team building events! Trust me nothing gets team members bonding like a nice, competitive game of SUPball. Our favourite thing to do is pair it with a BBQ on the river after the game is done to help encourage conversation and relationship building after some healthy competition!
