Alpheton Hall Barns Autumn Wedding Dream

I met Jay back in 2015 when I was working as a freelance event manager for Jockey Club Racing. Jay & I worked together at Newmarket racecourse and spent a few summers enjoying racedays together. Fast forward to 2021 when Green Lily Events is launched, Jay approached us to coordinator her full décor for her autumn wedding. Luckily, we have a wide collection of wedding decor and props - all in house at Green Lily.

We call this the Green Lily Events Finishing Touches collection.

We utilised Green Lily Events Finishing Touches collection using a wide range of props. We designed their table scape using the brief given to us by Jay. She knew she wanted to lean into autumn and bring those vibes to her tablescapes and intertwine this through her decor. We achieved this through using lots of burnt oranges and autumnal colours. And created a warm, welcoming autumn theme for her tablescapes and the rest of her décor.

Getting married in mid October should have meant frosty mornings and even chillier evenings, however, we were treated with unexpected 22°c temperatures and a wonderful outside drinks reception that exceeded all our expectations.

The wedding itself was in Bury St Edmunds - a venue we hadn't worked before. Because we hadn't worked at the venue before, we booked a site visit for about 8 months before the wedding. We did this so we could walk through the day and truly envision the flow for their guests and ways we could make it even better.

The wedding day was a dream. Jay was diagnosed with MS in 2019 and therefore needed a stress free planning journey, without having to compromise on her dream for her big day. The wedding day itself could not have been better, it was a true pleasure getting to help Jay and Sam bring their gorgeous day together, and I will forever be grateful to be able to call Jay a friend.
